In addition to the official announcement and the reveal of the team’s Franchise kits, a special ceremony was also held to acknowledge the long term efforts of two great servants of Samoan rugby.
SRU Chairman, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, presented on behalf of the SRU – two Life Memberships to Sapau Lolesio Vitale and Fuiono Felise Vito.
The teams for this year’s championships are the Warriors (Itu Asau, Itu Salega & Palauli region); Vikings (Faasaleleaga, Amoa & Itu o Tane region); the Chiefs (Aana, Aana West region); Eagles (Tuamasaga region); Navigators (Safata & Lefaga region); the Knights (Faleata region); the Eels (Vaimauga region); Southern Tornadoes (Falealili & Siumu region), and the Legends (Aleipata, Anoamaa & Atua i Saute region).
