13 October, 2017. Samoa – The Samoa Qualifications Authority (SQA) along with the National University of Samoa (NUS) signed a second Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) at the Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi Building this morning.

Gatoloaifa’ana Tilianamua Afamasaga, Chairperson of SQA’s Board of Directos and NUS Vice Chancellor, Professor Fui Asofou So’o made the agreement official.

The MoA was arranged to carry out one of SQA’s main goals, which is to strengthen their ties with their partners in the Post School Education Training (PSET) sub-sector. This MoA in particular stabilizes SQA’s partnership with NUS.

This Memorandum assures businesses and other institutions of qualifications and certificates presented to them by potential employees or students. This service and certification benefits companies and universities overseas.

Under SQA’s Act, they are there to provide the government with advice for ways PSET can improve education and training for all students.

The National University of Samoa is a registered PSET provider with Samoa Qualifications Authority.
