13 February, 2018 – Residents on the Tokelauan Island of Nukunonu will soon be able to get their hands on quality products from Samoa Stationary and Books.
In their first ever road show to Tokelau, scheduled from the 15th to the 20th of February, SSAB will be transporting a wide range of quality products to the Island, including educational resources, electronics, furniture, home ware and white ware.
According to SSAB’s International Procurement Manager, Marlene Kathleen Mulipola, the idea was proposed last year.
Speaking to Samoa Planet, she said, “Last year SSAB proposed a roadshow on the Tokelauan Islands to take products over and make shopping easier for the people or simply delivering the service to their doorsteps.”
“The Taupulega Nukunonu has given their approval and support for SSAB representatives to travel over for the launching of this significant event.”
Weather permitting, three SSAB representatives will depart Samoa later this week, after months of planning for the trip.
According to Mulipola, SSAB is looking at taking a Roadshow to each island later this year, pending approval from the Taupulega and the success of this first event.
