14 April, 2018. – National records are being broken as Team Samoa gives their all at the Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Donny Tuimaseve set a new Samoan national record yesterday, throwing 67.78m.
It was 13m short of the eventual gold medallist but still a grand performance from a young athlete with a bright future ahead of him in the sport.
At only 18yrs of age, the Savaii born Tuimaseve gave the best result out of the 5 athletes representing from the Pacific nations. There were 24 athletes competing in javelin.
